The earrings of Lady Jane Grey and a part of the jewellery intended as a 'coronation' gift from her principle supporter the Duke of Northumberland. However, usurped by Bloody Mary, the 17 year old Jane was incarcerated in The Tower and instead, executed for high treason in 1554. The jewellery, (of which this is a copy), was then buried on the estate of her childhood home, Bradgate.
