In 1539, Davell was forced to surrender the Abbey to Henry VIII in the Dissolution. He left in bewilderment, a broken man with a shattered conscience, to die insane within the year.
Intricately detailed antiqued pewter, Gothic tracery holds a dark mother of pearl disc and finished with a stunning sliver night colour Austrian crystal.
